Friedrich Soegtrop announced that the German club has produced a CD-ROM containing the SM parts list in multiple languages, including the illustrations.
DerkJan van der Velde announced that a new book on the SM is being prepared (by club member Peter Pijlman) which is planned to be published in English and French as well as in Dutch. Jonas Arkebourg
announced that the base price of the Swedish rally in September will be 1075 SK or about 100 Euros and described how to get to Sweden from mainland Europe. Brian Cass explained that Andrew Brodie Engineering
in UK has been sold to Stuart Ager.
Maurizio Baiocchi confirmed that the number of members in the Italian club has increased from 20 at the start of 1999 to 38 today, nearly double. Michel Sivirine informed us that in Belgium, the Club does not
have formal members. He is advising SM owners yo join for the time being the french or dutch club. Robert Schwendimann reminded us that the Swiss club is one of the oldest SM clubs and was founded 16 Years
ago.
After Paul Artaud’s review of the SM club de France’s plans for 2000, Pierre Fraleux led a long
discussion about the difficulties of funding the manufactore of essential parts, necessary because original Citroën part stocks are steadily being consumed. While a total solution was not identified, the three parts-manufactoring clubs (Dutch, French and German) agreed to communicate with each other about their plans to remanufacture new parts, in order to combine orders from all three clubs for all manufacturing projects, thus reducing costs.
After the meeting, the participants posed for the traditional photograph and had a dinner, together with friends and wives.
In the Counsel meeting of 13 February, the club decided to create a website. The editors are Adrian Furtado (English), Hubert Henrot (French) and Clemens Maas is webmaster.
