Créeation of the IFCCSM

The SM Club de France is the originator of the “International Federation of Clubs Citroën SM” (IFCCSM), which has resulted in a cooperationship of European Citroën SM Clubs:

  • Citroën SM Club Deutschland
  • SM Club Italia
  • SM Club de France
  • SeMantics - United Kingdom
  • Citroën SM Club Nederland
  • Citroën Maserati Club Schweiz

Adrian Furtado, responsible for international relations in the SM Club de France, established the first contacts in the spring of 1998, and has coordinated negotiations between the Presidents Friedrich Soegtrop, Jean-Pierre Devlaminck, Brian Cass, DerkJan van der Velde, Maurizio Baiocchi and Felix Muff, to give birth to the IFCCSM, whose  membership is limited to members of the founding clubs representing the clubs and collectors of the Citroën SMs in each country.

By combining the large european clubs, the IFCCSM forms a group of more than 1000 SM owners and coordinates important issues. The current contacts allow for close cooperation with other associations in the world, particularly those connected to the SM (Japan, New Zealand, Greece, USA, etc.) and to join all together in the  International Federation.

In the short term, the federation allows for coordinating rallies and remanufacturing spare parts. The international cooperation has positive intentions to create a strong authority.
The IFCCSM has rules and a headquarters in the United Kingdom (Milton Keynes). The rules allow for a single club per country to participate represented by its President.

The goal is to optimize and promote cooperation by all means between the clubs, members of the federation, particularly on the subject of rallies and remanufactoring spare parts for the Citroën SM.

The secrétaire d'honneur is: Brian Cass, c/o SeMantics.
